Chak De Chicago - 2025 AFMC North American Annual Medical Conference and Retreat
We are excited to announce that the 2025 AFMC Annual Medical Conference and Retreat will take place at the Swissôtel, located in the heart of downtown Chicago!
The hotel has graciously offered us a versatile meeting space (the Lucerne Ballroom) equipped with state-of-the-art technology for our medical conference and breakfast services. Enjoy the best food Chicago has to offer during our reception and live music show on Friday evening in the penthouse ballroom, Élevé, and during the gala dinner on Saturday night in the Lucerne Ballroom.
This 4-day, 3-night event will include morning medical conferences and many other exciting activities, all set in downtown Chicago. We invite you to join us for this exciting event and help keep the AFMC spirit alive!

3:00 PM: Check-in at the Swissôtel
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM: Boat Cruise and Dinner (departing from right outside the hotel)
10:00 PM – Midnight: Hospitality Suite – Snacks, drinks, and singing
*Reach the hotel in time if you do not want to miss the 6 pm boat!

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Breakfast
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Medical Conference
10:00 AM – Noon: Wendella Architectural Boat Tour of downtown Chicago (for those not attending the conference)
Noon – 5:00 PM: Lunch followed by a bus tour of downtown Chicago (for everyone)
6:30 PM – 1:00 AM: Dinner, drinks, live music, and dancing at Élevé (penthouse ballroom/42nd floor)

10:00 AM – 4:00 PM: Navy Pier - Tour and have lunch on your own with your friends/family

Step 4: Book your travel – Flights to Chicago are reasonable, and the Swissôtel is accessible via both O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) airports, about 30-60 minutes away depending on traffic. Uber or cabs are the best transport options.
Step 5: Pack your bags and get ready to have fun in Chicago! We’re expecting one of the largest AFMC reunions yet, with excellent medical talks, research talks, networking, and plenty of fun and bonding.
